Technology Solutions (HTS) is an integrated technology development and

engineering arm of Honeywell, providing technology, product and business

solutions meeting global standards in quality, innovation and lifetime

performance. HTS has centers in India, the Czech Republic, China and Mexico,

and works on almost all Honeywell products right from conception to technology

development and insertion, design, engineering, and delivery.

The Strategy Director will be located in Bangalore, India. He or she is

responsible to design and sharp up HTS India strategy by collaborating closely

with HTS, SBG/GBE, HGR and other functional teams. He or she will focus on HTS

India initiatives, but will be involved in global projects as well. The

responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Serve in HTS India Leadership team. Support HTS India VP/GM on daily basis

• Contribute to STRAP development for HTS India and Global. Lead/participate in

strategic initiatives for the region and the global

• Lead HTS India innovation council (a.k.a. Growth Day) and idea incubation;

Identify HTS seed-planting opportunities for short-term, mid-term and long-term

business impact

• Work with SBGs (focusing on HBT) and HGR business teams (focusing on India,

Middle East, etc.) to drive Innovation for HGR markets

• Support AOP and other HTS India and global strategic initiatives, incl.

Technology Leadership Council, Growth Day, etc.

• Support X-SBG COEs (e.g. Mobility, AIA, Additive Manufacturing). Collaborate

with SBG/GBE for joint effort

• Shape up innovation eco-system by partnering with universities,

scientific/research institutes, incubators, stat-ups, etc.

• Support post-M&A technology integration and transfer; Identify

opportunities of outsourcing non-core engineering work

• Identify and benchmark best practices in RD&E regionally inside and

outside of Honeywell to help reduce redundancy and increase efficiency

• Participate in planning, organizing and implementing key regional events,

e.g. Technical Symposium, hackathon, etc.

• 8+ years strategy and business experience in a

corporate environment

• Engineer degree and background; MBA from a reputable university

• Experience of engineering and technologies preferred, esp. around

contemporary IT technologies (Cloud, Mobility, Social, Big Data, IoT, AI,

Machine Learning, connectivity, etc.)

• Strategy consultancy background preferred, but not required

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem solving, decision making, and

program management skills

• Strong leadership skills, incl. ability to influence without authority and

mobilize the right resource in the organization

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills, incl. presentation

skills and ability to communicate at executive levels in the organization

• A high degree of focus on quality results; ability to deliver under time

pressure

• Ability to understand various business models and product lines across all

industry segments of all Honeywell’s businesses worldwide

• Ability to deal with ambiguity. Comfortable working in a highly matrix and

x-functional environment

• Upbeat personality, team player, self-starter (able to work in lean

environment with autonomy)

• Travel<25% of time
