Associate Contracts ManagerScope

•Working in a global environment as part of a global team on a wide range of contract types.

•Global Procurement contracting support, which may include IT & Telecom, Purchased Labor & Services, Operation Supplies & Facilities, Transportation & Logistics, Travel, Capital Equipment, and Direct Materials.

•Support of Assistant General Counsel M&A

•Works with minimum supervision, independently drafts and reviews Procurement contracts.

•Able to provide second level contracts review upon customer/ vendor responses to the initial draft.

•Engages with internal Procurement customers globally to understand contracts’ scope and context and conduct the review with business/ commercial understanding of the transaction

•Individual contributor.

Job Description

•Drafts, reviews, and marks up Procurement contracts, amendments, and SOWs in different jurisdictions across the globe based on the commercial requirements and company policy.

•Serves as the first point of contact for assigned internal Honeywell customers providing direct assistance on the contract and other basic legal activities to meet customers’ requirements

•Advises internal Procurement customers on legal contractual terms and brings these in sync with business requirements.

•Provides assistance in connection within a broad range of transactions and related basic legal support activities

•Provides administration and support for Honeywell’s contract management tool (Ariba), supports the set up and maintenance of the template management for Procurement.

•Supports process development and documentation for contract review process.

•Develops and maintains strong working relationships with assigned internal customers and ensures provision of top-class service and high customer satisfaction

•Works collaboratively with Counsels, Contract Managers and internal customers.

•Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, identifies and reports critical fields in contract documents; seeks to discover and communicate unstated needs and expectations clearly to the customer

•Interacts with customers and completes work-products to their specifications; deals directly with internal customers, responds promptly to all inquiries from customers via telephone, email, instant messaging or video conferencing

•Supports process improvement and productivity initiatives, contributes to Contract Management and Knowledge Management practices.

•Participates in a continuous learning activities to expand knowledge and capability on a wider scope of the contracts and corporate legal activities

•Fully proactive participation in team and proactively helping to meet team goals

•Works under a minimum of supervision

Skills/Qualification

•Bachelor Degree in Law with post qualification 4+ years of relevant progressive experience

•Pragmatic, process driven personality

•Attention to details

•Superior English communications skills (both oral and written); ability to function as member of a virtual global team

•Demonstrated ability to influence and deal tactfully and confidentially with customers at all organizational levels in a dynamic environment

•Demonstrates the ability to define customer needs and designs project scope (SOW).

•Integrity, loyalty, and strong focus on compliance with internal standards and policies: ability to proactively provide guidance to internal customers as needed.

•Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

•Basic knowledge of US, EMEA, Asia Pacific, or other non Indian legal systems, hands on knowledge of US legal system a plus

•Good capability with the usage of tools and resources for legal research like LexisNexis, Manupatra, Westlaw, etc.
